Kia Telluride 2019 Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year
Outside of just a simple all-wheel drive option, the Telluride was built for off-road performance as much as on-road performance. When the model was put to the test, the Telluride passed with flying colors, as the SUV won the Northwest Automotive Press Association’s 2019 Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year award in their Mid- and Full-Size Family category.
The awards were presented during the association’s 25th annual Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year event known as Mudfest. During Mudfest, more than 20 vehicles were put through the test for handling both on- and off-road courses at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Washington.
“We’re honored to hear the Telluride continued its award-winning streak following NWAPA’s Mudfest, especially as it comes on the heels of being crowned the ‘CUV of Texas. Given the mountainous landscape in the Pacific Northwest, NWAPA member journalists know what to look for in adventure vehicles, and we are beyond proud that the Telluride’s capable performance and rugged luxury surpassed this adventurous group of journalists’ expectations.”
–Michael Cole, chief operating officer and executive vice president, KMA
